01 — What it is
A new colour that
fights back.
Coloured PPF is the same urethane film we fit clear, with the colour built into it. You get the colour change of a wrap and the impact protection of paint protection film in one 8 mil layer, and the factory paint comes out from underneath exactly as it went in.
- Eight mil of impact protection. Stone chips, road debris and car park knocks are absorbed by the urethane instead of reaching your clear coat.
- Ceramic hydrophobic topcoat.Water and dirt let go instead of clinging on, so wash times roughly halve and the surface resists water spotting and chemical staining.
- An OEM finish, not a covering.he film is formulated texture-free, so the colour reads with paint-like depth — no orange peel, no waviness over a long panel.
- Self-healing. Wash marks and light scratches close with heat, so the finish keeps looking new instead of collecting swirls.
- UV, fuel and bird lime. The topcoat is the part facing the world, and it is built to resist all three. The polyurethane underneath is tested against yellowing over a decade.
- Ten years, warranted. PURE PPF cover against yellowing, cracking and bubbling, with our fitting warranted alongside it.
The colour sits inside the film, so the gloss reads with the depth of paint rather than the flatness of a laminate.
02 — Vinyl vs coloured PPF
Same idea.
Different material.
We fit both every week and neither one is wrong. Here is what actually separates them, and what each costs per year of ownership.
Vinyl wrap
Cast PVC with laminate
Coloured PPF
PURE PPF pigmented TPU
Thickness
2–4 mil (50–100 microns) including laminate
8 mil (around 200 microns) — four times thicker
Stone chip protection
Superficial. Shields the paint from weather, light abrasion and wash marks, but a stone hard enough to chip paint still gets through
Absorbs the impact. Same protection as clear PPF
Self-healing
No, but a gloss wrap can be machine polished to reduce or remove light scratches and swirl marks
Yes. Light scratches close with heat
Gloss level
High gloss from the laminate, softening gradually with UV and washing
Higher than paint, held by a ceramic topcoat
Washing
Straightforward with pH-neutral shampoo and two buckets, keeping the pressure washer off the edges
Hydrophobic — dirt lets go, wash times roughly halve
Lifespan
Around 5 years, longer on a garaged car that is looked after
10 years, warranted
Warranty
Manufacturer cover on the material, our fitting alongside
10-year PURE PPF limited warranty against yellowing, cracking and bubbling
The paint underneath
Minor superficial protection. It keeps the weather and light abrasion off, but stone chips still reach the paint
Protected the whole time. Comes off original and unchipped

Vinyl, up front
From £2,150
The lowest cost of entry and the widest palette on the market. If the colour is the point and the budget is the constraint, this is the sensible buy.
Coloured PPF, over ten years
£3,500
One film, fitted once, warranted the whole way, against roughly £4,500 for two wraps over the same decade. Cheaper to own if the car is staying with you.
What a chip costs either way
£150–£500
Per panel at a proper bodyshop, £600–£1,200 for a front end. Vinyl keeps the weather off; only film is thick enough to stop most stones reaching the paint.
Vinyl still has its place.
Choose a vinyl wrap
If you are looking for lower initial cost for product and aren’t looking for protection and just want colour change qualities, vinyl is for you.
Choose coloured PPF
If you a colour change with maximum protection, enhanced gloss and more OEM finish, PPF is for you.
Both are fitted by the same team, in the same unit, to the same standard. Tell us what the car is for and we will tell you which one we would put on it.
Coloured PPF is from £3,500 +VAT for full exterior coverage, including a basic strip of the vehicle and a decontamination wash. Vinyl figures are our own full colour change prices. Your exact price depends on the car and is fixed in writing before we book the slot.
03 — The colours
Over eighty colours, four finishes.
All PURE PPF, all 8 mil TPU, all self-healing. Browse the range and send us the colour code — we will get a sample onto your paint before anything is ordered.
Solid
OEM-inspired gloss colours, from heritage tones to pastels. The closest thing to a factory respray.
Metallic
Real flake suspended in the film for depth and movement in the light. Mirror gloss, no orange peel.
Satin & matte
A smooth satin-matte finish without the grain cheaper films show, and scuffs that heal back to an even sheen.
Liquid & shift
Liquid metals and colour-shift films for cars that need to stop people in a car park.
04 — How it is finished
The job is won or lost
on the edges.
Anyone can lay film on a flat bonnet. What separates a good colour change from a cheap one is what happens at every edge, corner and shut line.
Stripped, not tucked
Lights, handles, badges and trim come off so the film goes past the edge rather than stopping short of it. A basic strip is included in the price.
ALWAYS GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Every edge the shape allows gets wrapped behind the panel. No cut line on show, nothing for a jet wash to catch, nothing to lift in year two.
CORNERS THAT LOOK LIKE PAINT
Tight radii, vents and spoiler ends take the time they need. From a foot away there is nothing to spot — which is the whole point of paying for it.
05 — The paint underneath
The colour is
temporary.
The paint is not.
Whatever you put on the outside, the car gets valued on what is underneath. A wrap keeps the weather off it. Film keeps the stones off it too.
Resale
Peel the film and the car is standing on original, unchipped paint. No trade buyer deducts for a front end that has never been touched.
Lease handback
End-of-contract damage charges average around £300 and run past £750. Film comes off before the inspection and the paint underneath passes fair wear and tear.
Removal
Heat and patience, done here. Ten years of stone chips leave with the film instead of staying in your clear coat.
Already wrapped with us?
When your vinyl is due for renewal, we remove it, correct anything that needs it and go straight into coloured PPF. Tell us when you book and we will price the changeover as one job.

07 — After it is fitted

We look after it.

The Identity maintenance wash
A full service for the film, not a jet wash and a chamois. Half a day with the car on the ramp, done by the team that fitted it.
- Full decontamination and safe two-bucket wash
- Every edge, shut line and wrapped corner inspected
- Anything lifting re-sealed while it is with us
- Topcoat heated to close scuffs and wash marks
- Condition photographed and kept on file for your warranty
Two a year is what keeps a ten-year film looking like a one-year film. Most owners book the next one before they leave.
Free guide
Wash it without wrecking it
Seven days before the first wash, then pH-neutral shampoo and two buckets.
- Products that are safe on film, and the ones that are not
- Where to keep the pressure washer away from
- Bird lime, fuel and tar dealt with before they mark
Add-on
Ceramic coating on top
The Colour Series topcoat is already ceramic-infused, so this is the last few percent — and the panels film does not cover.
- Glass, wheels and trim the film does not reach
- Extra water beading and easier drying on the film itself
- Quoted alongside your colour change, or added later
If the worst happens
Replaced panel by panel
Take a bad hit and only that piece needs redoing. Not the whole car, and not your paint.
We keep your colour and batch on file, so a replacement panel matches the rest of the car years later.
Should I choose vinyl or coloured PPF?
It depends on how long the car is staying and what you want the film to do. For the lowest up-front cost, the widest colour choice, or anything printed and bespoke, a vinyl wrap is the right buy. For maximum protection, a higher gloss and an OEM-style finish that is warranted for a decade, coloured PPF is worth the difference — and over ten years it works out cheaper to own. We fit both and will give you a straight answer for your car.
Does the paint need correcting first?
A strip and decontamination wash are included. Anything sealed under the film stays under the film, so if the paint has deeper swirls, scratches or chips we quote the correction separately and show you what it gains before you commit.
How long is the car with you?
Around a week for a full colour change, longer on complex cars where more trim comes off. We agree the dates when the quote is fixed.
Can I do part of the car?
Yes. Roofs, bonnets, mirrors and spoilers are common in a contrast colour, and coloured film mixes with clear PPF on the rest of the car. Ask and we will price the combination.
Do I have to tell my insurer?
Yes. A colour change needs declaring to your insurer and to the DVLA, exactly as it would with a vinyl wrap. It is a five-minute job and we will give you the details of the film.
Can it go over an existing wrap?
No. Film bonds to paint or a hard factory finish, so the wrap comes off first. If we fitted the wrap, we will price removal and the colour change as one job.

Keep the paint.
Tell us the car and the colour you have in mind. We will come back with a fixed price, the film details and the next available slot.
